which has only a slight increase in timing over the stock US mapping. The upgraded Japanese ecu's advance the timing over JDM stock. If you would like a more conservative map there are two easy ways to change it - 1) Go into the stock 1993 bin code and copy it's primary timing map (7800-78FF) over to the tuned file of your choice. 2) Or you can keep the stock JDM timing map and lower the timing in the final column at the addresses 789F and 78AF. The JDM's values at these addresses are 23 and 24 (decimal, so actual degrees of timing). The US timing map's values at these addresses are 18 and 19. *The rest of the values in the final column are the same or within 1 degree difference. Here are their values: addy JDM US 789F 23 18 78AF 24 19 78BF 21 22 78CF 22 21 78DF 22 22 78EF 20 20 78FF 19 19
IMHO #2 would be the best choice since it would retain the timing and power at lower boost levels, and lowered timing as the boost reaches and exceeds 14psi.
